GOUT CURE
Strict Cleansing Diet :
The foods below are the ONLY foods recommended to eat during the initial cleansing to get rid of any uric acid build up. Even if you are not under an attack, there are still deposits of uric acid all over the body posing a constant threat. It is strongly suggested to expel all the years of build up with this strict diet, herbal blend, and water intake so that you may easily return to a more normal diet with a guaranteed success to stay gout free for good!
Healing Foods :
Brown Rice, egg whites, corn, boiled cabbage, celery, carrots, baked sweet potatoes, onion, dates, fresh coconut, avocados, honey, raisins, sour dairy products (yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream), fresh almonds, (not cooked), bananas, apples, pears, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cherries, oranges, kiwi, grapes, soy sauce (light use for flavor on rice), fresh unsweetened fruit juices (frozen or refrigerated- NO CRANBERRY ), and baking potatoes (not white potatoes). It would be best to use a lot of sour cream on your baking potatoes. If you are under an attack you must eat a FULL variety of these foods. For instance: brown rice, fresh almonds, and corn provide all the protein and amino acids of a price of meat when eaten as a meal without the purines. This variety and protein match up is necessary because a sudden lack of protein/fat source can cause the body to release protein from stored fat. This release will also produce more uric acid which we want to avoid during this cleanse.
Your first goal is to stop eating any and all acidic foods that can be aggravating to you r current attack and uric acid build up. All of the foods above are alkaline and will stop all further production of uric acid. THIS STRICT DIET IS TEMPORARY !
Deficiencies:
Deficiencies in Vitamins A, E, B5, and C can also naturally create excess uric acid all on its own regardless of food intake. It would be very helpful to include these daily for healing and acid control. Vitamin A should be a Beta-Carotene source only and a B-complex or multivitamin should be avoided while under an attack as they contain B3 (Niacin) and Iron, both of which will aggravate an attack and cause more uric acid production.
Water is Vital :
These herbs are a natural diuretic and stop the uric acid from crystallizing in your .joints. If you do not keep the blood hydrated and the uric acid soluble, it will be difficult to expel the acid from your system and keep it from re-crystallizing. Therefore, it is imperative that you consume at least 96 oz of water or 30% more water than you expel if you are under an attack when starting the herbs and at least 64 oz of water a day for as long as you take the herbs to avoid all future attacks.
Gout cure:
Goutcure should not be taken along with Allopurinol or Colchicine, both of which will inhibit the herbs from completely doing their job. You should WEAN yourself off; suddenly stopping the medicine can also spark an attack, so take less and less each day along with the herbs until you are using the herbs alone. The herbs in Goutcure aid in improving the condition of the liver and increasing the ability to do its job. This will help in reversing any damage that prescription medicine may have had on your liver.
Excessive Uric Acid Production:
The following foods can be responsible for excessive uric acid production: Alcohol, anchovies, asparagus, consommé, herring, meat gravies, broth, mushrooms, mussels, sardines, red meats, organ meats, processed meats (hot dogs, lunch meats, etc), fried foods, roasted nuts, any food cooked in oil (heated oil destroys vitamin E), rich foods (cakes, sugar products, white flour products), dark green vegetables (high iron content), dried fruit, fish, caffeine, beans, lentils, eggs, oatmeal, peas, poultry, margarine, and yeast products.
All of these foods need to be SLOWLY reintroduced back into the diet always including some HEALING FOODS into the diet always including some HEALING FOODS into your diet every day to remain gout free. If you do eat a heavy meal with a lot of purines, take two pills with that meal and two pills with the first meal of the following morning. Be sure to also add an extra 24 oz of water with each extra pill to properly flush the extra acid production. It is also suggested that when eating a meal with a substantial amount of meat that you leave out simple carbs (sugar, breads, starches, fires, etc.) and include some fruits and vegetables into that meal instead.
Antibiotics:
Antibiotics are prescribed to destroy bad bacteria, but unfortunately they also destroy all of the friendly bacteria in the digestive system as well. The bowels account for about 30$ of the elimination of uric acid from the body. When sufficient amounts of friendly bacteria are excluded from the bowels, the elimination process is inhibited resulting in even more uric acid build up. This also hampers the absorption of the herbal blend and makes it more difficult for your body to hold the uric acid to a soluble state. Since antibiotics are so detrimental please keep a strict diet, eat plenty of yogurt and other sour dairy products, and drink plenty of water. After you are through with the antibiotics be sure to purchase some Acidophilus/ L. Bifidus (PRO-BIOTIC supplements) to restore the friendly bacteria.
Meal Suggestions
(Variety is very important!)
Breakfast/Lunch:
1: Plain yogurt and add your own fresh fruit (banana, pear, etc.) with a glass of all natural unsweetened fruit juice (NO CRANBERRY). If you are used to drinking something hot with your meals, you can have warmed water with a slice of fresh lemon or lime to comfort your system .
2: A cup of fresh fruit or fruit salad is always good for breakfast or snack: apples, peaches, strawberries, grapes, melons, etc.
3: Cottage cheese mixed with FRESH fruit (NO apricots). Remember to drink the necessary heavy bottled/filtered water consumption with your meals and throughout the day.
Lunch/Dinner
1: A salad of iceberg lettuce (NO dark green lettuce is allowed on the cleansing diet), carrots, celery, squash, grapes, a little parsley, a small fresh tomato, and FRESH (not cooked) chestnuts and/or almonds. Salad dressing must be specially made: Absolutely ONLY olive oil with some onion or garlic powder, or a little soy sauce for flavoring or a mixture of sour cream with some onion/garlic powder.
2: Brown rice (no white rice) may be boiled in the microwave with celery, garlic and/or onions for flavor.
3 : A baking potato with a lot of sour cream. You can also add a bit of parsley, onion powder, or garlic powder for additional flavoring.
4. This great soup recipe will help cleanse the system, add plenty of vitamin A, and neutralize the metabolism. However, do not use any bouillon, it is full of purines ! In a large pot mix water, carrots, onion, fresh garlic, lots of corn, potatoes (skin on), celery cabbage, bok choy stalks, and a small can of diced tomatoes for flavor . The carrots and celery take the longest to cook, so start them first and end with tomatoes.
5 . A baked sweet potato with a tiny bit of butter for flavoring. *NO margarine or butter substitutes are permitted.*
Cabbage or squash steamed or micro waved with onions is a nice filling main dish or side dish.
Brown rice boiled in the microwave with celery, garlic and/or onions for flavor. Add fresh chestnuts and almonds on the side. This provides a nice protein meal. (Very important meal to provide the needed protein and amino acids so the body does not pull from stored fat for that resource that will produce uric acid).
Corn is very helpful in healing-frozen, fresh or corn on the cob. You can boil it, microwave it or steam it.
9. Now you can take the brown rice, carrots, celery, garlic and/or onions, along with a small fresh tomato and steam yourself a great dinner. Season with parsley and/or garlic or onion powder to taste.
Snack Ideas:
Take the sour cream and add the garlic or onion powder, some parsley, and use this as a dip with your celery and carrots.
Snack on the fresh natural chestnuts and/or almonds.
Raisins and dates are a good snack to munch and enjoy on the cleansing.
* You should have 2-3 servings of fresh almonds and/or chestnuts per day (1/3 cup per serving) to provide the daily required meat/protein sources.
